What is not is a Windows 8 Picture Password program, where you touch your screen.

If you know about pictures and how quality is directly related to pixels then as an example, common websites use lower amount of pixels in their graphics (72 DPI) to load the pages faster. However, we have all seen beautiful photos online or we have newer cameras that have large pixel options.

So based on pixels of the image/picture 7,000+ total pixels in 8”x10”… we

Click on a small image on the web page where user name and password are required (but no text password input area is available) – what happens when we click the small image?

A full-size full-screen view is loaded and you move your mouse over certain areas of the Picture to complete the FIRST stage of password, then IF correct a second or third stage of Pictures can be completed in the same manner only if you require the highest level of security for another 15 seconds of time. If correct the small image/picture on the web page changes to a green light (or other indicator configured by you during setup) and you enter your account.

Yes, maybe I left out a few details but this is general enough to help you understand what is seen as a user. What is behind the scenes is the highest level of encryption available based on a 7,000x10-20 different selections at the first stage (you could spend plenty of time creating excellent passwords using a keyboard but most people won’t get into symbols and characters, even if the form allows it – we want simple, effective and secure solutions).
